Serve Your City is a virtual tutoring program. We are a community-based, black-led organization that provides resources, experiences, and programs for the most under-served populations in Washington DC. Our goal is to train, teach, and inspire at-promise students by giving opportunities to those that need it the most.
We have opportunities for UMD students to engage with and tutor DC K-12 school youth this Spring! We know that the need for tutors will be very high due to the challenges of virtual school and the lack of resources provided to the community. This is especially true for Black, Latinx, students from low-income families, and students with disabilities who have been hit the hardest and are falling behind. The link to sign up is here!
