Recruitment is open for CARE Peer Education & Outreach

CARE to Stop Violence is accepting applications for our Peer Programs! We hope you can assist us in promoting our programs by sharing the following information and attached flyer with your students.

Campus Advocates Respond and Educate to Stop Violence (CARE) is accepting applications from undergraduate students interested in addressing power-based violence, such as sexual assault, relationship violence, sexual harassment and stalking, through education, outreach, or advocacy. CARE offers three peer programs: Peer Educators, Outreach Peers, and Peer Advocates. Please see the attached flyer for a description of each program.

If a student is interested in applying, they can fill out an application at go.umd.edu/carepeerprogram. Currently, CARE is accepting applications for the Peer Educators and Outreach Peers. Applications for Peer Advocates will be available in February 2021.

CARE is also offering three information sessions for students interested in learning more about CARE’s Peer Programs. To see dates and times for those sessions and RSVP, please click here

We look forward to reviewing the applications! If you have questions about Outreach Peers, email the Coordinator for Outreach and Assessment Grace. If you have questions about Peer Education, email Assistant Coordinator for Prevention Education Laura.
