Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) is seeking a full-time Innovation Project Manager to join their team in VA! The Innovation Project Manager will be a key team member and a leader who is passionate about changing lives through housing and healthcare, who is excited by the possibilities of technology, who enjoys the perspectives of older people, and who has the energy, creativity, and dedication to transform the future of aging. The project manager is responsible for ensuring projects undertaken by VOANS are planned, implemented, and managed to meet all deliverables and the organization’s overall strategic goals.
This is a hybrid position. The Innovation Project Manager will work remotely and onsite at the Alexandra, VA office.

Healing From Hate and Advancing Racially-equitable Policies on April 22 from 12-2pm
A panel discussion and social justice award ceremony featuring university, community, and policy leaders who will talk about issues centered on individual and community healing, anti-racism, and racially-equitable social and public policy. The Social Justice Alliance continues to honor the legacy of BSU student Lt. Richard W. Collins III, who was murdered in 2017 by a UMD student.

Scholarships for Environmental Studies / STEM Research Careers
Attention 1st and 2nd YEAR STUDENTS! Learn about two great awards - the Hollings Scholarship (for students pursuing environmentally-related studies) and the Goldwater Scholarship (for students strongly interested in STEM research careers).
1. Hollings Scholarship (for rising 2nd year students only): Are you a rising 2nd year student studying atmospheric and oceanic sciences, environmental engineering, environmental sciences and policy, or ANY major with a strong environmental focus or interest? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Hollings Scholarship provides two-year academic scholarships (up to a maximum of $9,500 per year) for full-time study, and a 10-week, full-time, paid internship position ($700/week) the summer after junior year at a NOAA facility. 41 Maryland students have won Hollings Scholarships in the past eight years!

Learn about the Goldwater Scholarship, the nation's most prestigious STEM award for sophomores and juniors, with our NEW NARRATED presentation! The Goldwater Scholarship includes annual awards of up to $7,500 for recipients.
Maryland has an exceptional record in the Goldwater competition, ranking 2nd in the nation in the past 10 years! Congratulations to our three 2022 winners, George Li, Kevin Tu, and Patrick Kim.

EarthFest will be a First Look Fair type event on April 20th (April 22nd as a rain day) from 11am-3pm at Hornbake Plaza. This event will entail fun DIY activities, photo booth, a collaborative art display, raffles, prizes, and various student clubs, departments, and labs who will bring fun interactive activities with informative displays!
