Feeling stressed about finals and need to talk? Need to vent or work through your thoughts with someone?

Text Lean On Me College Park (301-494-8808) to talk to a fellow student about anything weighing on your mind, such as finals, loneliness, friendship challenges, and career anxiety.

We are an anonymous, student-run, peer-to-peer text line for non-crisis emotional/mental health support; neither your phone number nor the volunteer’s phone number will be seen. Our hours starting Wednesday 12/15 are 2pm-12am every day until the end of finals!

HONR338J- Teaching & Learning about Cultural Diversity through Intergroup Dialogue; Dialogue Facilitation Practicum

Are you committed to social justice? Want to develop the skills to facilitate meaningful conversations about power, identity, and inequality? Engage in a 3-credit skills-based course to learn the principles and ideals of social justice, in theory and practice. This course has two goals: 1) It aims to create a space for students to reflect on their own identities and how structural inequalities affect their lives and relationships. 2) It also serves as a training opportunity for students to develop and hone their facilitation skills so they have the skills and tools to interrupt injustice and encourage awareness within and beyond their communities. Participants in the course will have the opportunity to put their skills to practice by developing and delivering a justice-oriented workshop to the campus community.

This course is a partnership among Honors College, College Park Scholars, and The Words of Engagement Program.
